Influenza A viruses, including two subtypes (H1N1) and (H3N2), and
influenza B viruses currently circulate worldwide, but the prevalence can vary among
regions. Changes in the resistance to antiviral
medications, to the different types and subtypes of influenza viruses can mean
that health care providers need to change their practices for prescribing
antiviral medications.
